Il cielo azzurro, poi l’alta quota e le nuvole. L’atterraggio, il passaggio in stazione, un lungo abbraccio. In macchina verso le montagne. Eccole lì, alte con ancora un po’. Le montagne, il silenzio, i prati. Subito Paolo Rumiz con storie di confine, di guerra, di morti, di soldati della prima grande guerra, di campi abbandonati, di silenzi. Ancora storie di silenzi. Di una Europa che era più Europa. Di una guerra non ancora finita.
